Hello there
Just found it interesting that you have a Margaret Bryans in the family.

I am Margaret Bryans from Dunmurry, born 1957, now living in Leeds. Would be interested in any more information that you have about the Bryans connection.

Hi there- Just discovered your page while idly browsing the internet. Leslie McCurdy, the gymnast, your great-uncle, was the brother of my grandfather Daniel, of Harkness Parade, off Dee Street, Belfast, wife of Catherine; my father Leslie was named after him and I, in turn was named after my Father, making me the third Leslie McCurdy; my son Thomas has been given the second name Leslie, keeping the line alive. My father is the last of Daniel McCurdy's children; he's now 85.

A nice site and sight. Well done Terry. I'm a descendant of Matthew Irwin, blacksmith of Hensingham, Cumberland who was born at Cleator around 1780. I have observed instances of the name Irwin becoming Urwin (Yorks) and Irwin becoming Irvin (Cumberland) but although the two names run together in the border zone, I have no instances of a direct connection with Irving. Obviously mistakes were made on census night

Hi

Found this as I was idly checking for anything on Creaneys from Ireland.

My interest is in the Creaney family in Lurgan. My paternal grandmother was Ellen Creaney (1896-1925), her father was George and he was born around 1868, the son of Henry Creaney.

Interesting to find out more about the name, but it's just a shame there aren't more records to find out if our families are linked further back!

Hello. This is the first information I have seen about the McCurdy Name. I am looking for information about Eliza Jane McCurdy who married James Snoddy in Carnduff, Inver, Antrim circa 1818. I think the name is spelled incorrectly sometimes which makes it hard to trace as well. I have not been able to find any other McCurdy's, and would appreciate any further info about this family pre 1840. Thanks so much for your website.

My grandfather was Arthur Francis Creaney born in Belfast, Ireland on April 7, 1922. He passed on August 30, 2008 at his home in Bristol, WI. I know his parents were Arthur and Chirstina (nee Boyle) Creaney, but beyond that the history is blank. I can help you with his family geneology if you would be so kind to let me know if you have any information on his geneology. I know I have family in Ireland somewhere, and would love to make contact with them. Thank you in advance for your help!
